Countdown to Oscars Watch Party

Come one, come all to FIU’s Oscars Watch Party! Sunday, March 4th in GC 140 the Film Studies Program, Film Initiative, and Sigma Tau Delta will host a live screening of the Oscars, with the festivities starting at 7:00 pm.

Who cares about the red-carpet at the Dolby Theatre when you could walk our very own at the Graham Center. Come dressed in your finest clothes from famed designers A’Gaci, Stafford, and Valsan, for a chance to win our Best Dressed prize. Want to feel like a celebrity? Paparazzi will be waiting by the entrance to snap pictures so you’ll always have a memory of our big night.

As you walk through the doors make sure to fill out our Oscars Prediction ballot sheet. The ballot with the highest score will win our “Ultimate Movie-goer” prize – a $20 gift certificate for Fandango, 2 popcorn bags, and 2 boxes of theater candy. Pick up our BINGO sheet and pay close attention during the show to be the first to yell, BINGO! Winner will receive our mystery movie prize.

Oh, and did we mention free food! Yes, yes we didn’t forget about the most important aspect of any event. Subs, chicken tenders, chips, and sodas will all be provided at the event. Gather your friends and head to GC 140 this Sunday at 7:00 pm for a night of stars, celebration, and fun.
