As a prequel to the well received release of X earlier this year, Pearl explains the actions set forth in X, specifically Pearl’s rise to stardom. Having worked on both, Mia Goth and West create a film that simultaneously entertains and frightens the audience.

Jean-Luc Godard, pioneer of the French New Wave, and one of the most revered filmmakers of all time, has died at 91. His radical approach to cinema redefined the form and language of the medium and gave birth to a body of work that continues to inspire filmmakers today, even as it continues to challenge our notions of narrative structure and the craft of cinema.
With his upcoming movie, Amsterdam, releasing this October 7th, it’s as good a time as any to do the impossible task of choosing Christian Bale’s five best performances. You know a movie has got to be bold when the title is just a one word synonym for ghost. Released in 1982, Poltergeist is known as one of the scariest movies ever made due to its top-of-the-line special effects, clown dolls, and creepy little girls. When this movie came out, the American audience was weaning off the Amityville haunted house type of movie, and instead moving towards slasher flicks with Friday the 13th and Halloween.
