The Second Annual Panther Film Festival is on its Way!

The Second Annual Panther Film Festival will be here in April! Next Wednesday, January 23, 2019, the Film Studies Program will be hosting the first PFF Mixer of the Spring Semester from 3:00 to 5:00 PM in the patio area behind the English Department (4th Floor of DM, directional posters will be available that day). Come by to learn more about the festival, how to enter a short film, and meet possible collaborators. Snack will be provided.

Submissions for the Panther Film Festival are free and open to all FIU students. Productions may have outside filmmakers, however, to remain eligible for the festival, short films must be led by an FIU student. As part of the application process, at least one student participating in the production of an applying entry must provide a copy of their Panther ID. Only short films with a total run time (TRT) of 15 minutes or less will be accepted. (Recommended length, 3 – 10 minutes, figuring one minute per page). There are NO genre requirements for the festival but reserves the right to not screen any film. More information will be coming soon on how to submit short films for consideration.

On behalf of FIU’s Film Studies Program, the Film Initiative Underground, and Sigma Tau Delta, we are excited to build on last year’s festival.
